Rolex Sales Professional - Rolex Boutique, Boston

We are seeking exceptional people to join our Rolex Boutique team, located at Newbury Street in Boston. Our Rolex Sales Professionals excel at building lasting relationships and providing best-in-class customer experiences. This role is fully immersed in being the best possible Long’s ambassador and will eagerly share their knowledge and passion for the Rolex brand with both perspective and beloved clients. Success in this role will see consistent growth in individual contribution to the business, as well as increased cross-sectional knowledge of luxury timepieces.  

Essential Job Functions / Core Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate on-going relationships with customers with a focus on return visits and future purchasing opportunities.
  • Demonstrate successful outreach to potential and existing customers through proactive Clienteling and consistent use of CRM database.
  • Achieve sales and growth objectives by focusing on the best-possible customer experience through storytelling, personalized service, and authentic interactions with every customer.
  • Embrace continuous learning across all Rolex product lines and categories, as well as similar brands.
  • Assist with daily opening and closing tasks, including inventory counts and set up/break down of on-floor product.
  • Consistently exhibit a professional manner and composure with all customers, peers, and management.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in luxury retail product sales. Prior fine jewelry and/or luxury timepieces preferred. 
  • Must have a passion for horology and luxury timepieces.
  • Proven ability to grow YOY sales and customer base over time, with a strong desire to build ongoing customer relationships.
  • Ability to grasp product details and be able to communicate what makes a product or vendor unique and of value.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and to embrace Long’s Core Values.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to always represent Long’s in the utmost professional manner.

Customer Service & Operations - Rolex Boutique, Boston

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle all aspects of customer service from service take-ins and repair consultations to POS operations, repair quality control, customer phone and email inquiries and other service-related touch points.
  • Handle and monitor all incoming and outgoing communication with customers, such as e-mail, phone, and texts, and follow up on all inquiries from customers.
  • Focus on inventory control ensuring that all units, both incoming and outgoing, are correctly noted and coded in the POS system.
  • Work proactively with Inventory Control to reconcile any inventory discrepancies.
  • Work with the Sales team to complete customer transactions within our POS system, ensuring all product, price, and client information is up-to-date and correct.
  • Balance daily paperwork, bank deposits, and POS information accurately, taking care to proactively communicate and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Partner with Sales team on any needs regarding customer interactions, such as scheduling appointments for future visits, sizing final sales, etc.
  • Extend hospitality services to customers, including greeting, appointment check in, beverage service, hanging coats, etc.
  • Be alert to any general housekeeping needs and pitch in accordingly.
  • Accurately follow all POS, inventory, and other operational procedures according to Long’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Prior customer service experience, preferably within a luxury environment.
  • Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft, POS, and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resolution-oriented mindset and the ability to be agile, always focusing on the best possible customer experience.
  • Ability to work weekends.

Master Jeweler - All Locations

We are seeking an experienced Master Jewelers who excel at understanding the design and craftsmanship of fine jewelry. Ideal candidates will have expert knowledge in bench design, precious metals and gemstones, with a focus on custom jewelry and repairs. Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with limited oversight.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Set stones in prong and bezel, including fancy cut stones.
  • Re-tipping prongs.
  • Create stone mounts.
  • Perform channel and platinum rebuilds.
  • Perform minor ring repair and other jewelry repairs, including chain and clasp repairs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with all metals, including 14k, 18k, platinum and sterling silver.
  • Master level skillset with torch. Prefer some laser experience.
  • Ability to complete 15 – 20 repairs daily, in addition to the shared maintenance and general upkeep of the shop.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to use sound judgment to arrive at the best outcome based on the information at hand.
  • Ability to interact with external and internal customers.

Watchmaker - Burlington, MA

Due to growth, Long’s Jewelers is seeking an experienced watchmaker to support our thriving luxury timepiece business. This role demands advanced technical expertise, including brand, model, movement, and material identification. The ideal candidate will embody a passion for watches backed by expert knowledge of watch service and repair. This role is based in our Burlington, MA corporate office.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine brand authenticity and condition, both external and functional performance, of timepieces.
  • Accurately diagnose and perform quality service and repair of basic to moderate complexity on customer-owned merchandise, with the aim of improving overall condition, function, and timing accuracy on both quartz and mechanical watches.
  • Identify and requisition parts for repairs.
  • Handle all necessary documentation and recordkeeping of service and repairs according to Long’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient workspace and ensure proper use and maintenance of work tools.
  • Communicate proactively with department leaders with regards to progress on various projects and overall scope of pending work.
  • Participate in trainings, audits, and meetings as required, including travel when applicable.
  • Assist other watchmakers to authenticate and resolve complex repairs.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years + Advanced technical watchmaking expertise, including brand, model, movement, and material identification.
  • Familiar with both Swiss and Japanese movements.
  • Demonstrated experience in repairing and servicing luxury watches, with skills including but not limited to: quartz/mechanical movements, chronographs, perpetual calendars, and lathe work.
  • Proficient with case disassembly/reassembly of quartz, mechanical, and chronograph watches.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple service projects at the same time. Prioritization is key.
  • Must possess excellent hand and eye coordination, and the ability to perform fine motor skills.
  • Extremely accurate vision, natural or corrected.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and anticipate organizational needs, including the ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete projects.

Luxury Customer Service Professional - Burlington, MA

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently operate the store’s office according to all policies and procedures, and provide outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Process and complete customer transactions, ensuring accurate customer contact and payment information.
  • Evaluate and document condition of customers’ merchandise for repair intakes; inspect completed repairs for quality control standards.
  • Balance POS at closing and accurately complete nightly paperwork.
  • Ensure accurate and proper inventory management procedures including processing orders, sales, and transfers of merchandise.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
  • Individuals must be able to multi-task and be detailed and number oriented. Teamwork and support for all areas of the store is a must. Prior customer service and/or fine jewelry and luxury timepiece experience a plus.
