Castle Island in South Boston is a great place to go if you are looking to propose near the water. The island, and the surrounding area, has lots of space to walk around and sit near the ocean, and it is the home of Fort Independence. Spend the day learning about the history of the Fort, have a picnic, and stay for the sunset. Pleasure Bay is also right next door, which is one of Boston's most popular beaches. This is a perfect location if you and your loved one like to spend your free time outdoors.

It's also not very crowded when the sun starts to set if you'd prefer more of an intimate setting.

4. On Horse and Carriage

Take a romantic stroll through downtown Boston on horse and carriage. They are very easy to find around Faneuil Hall Marketplace and can take you on trips ranging from 15 minutes to an hour.
