The other day I read a quote by Diane von Furstenberg which said, "I design for the woman who loves being a woman." It then occurred to me that in the fashion jewelry world, women ARE the inspiration. In fact, if you really think about it, the love for women is why the industry exists at all!

Especially when it comes to pearls. Kokichi Mikimoto was so inspired that he spent 20 years just to create the most beautifully cultured pearls to ever exist, just for a woman to wear. Now that’s a pretty long time if you ask me, however the end result has become the most luxuriously desired pearls in the world!
After my epiphany, I decided to analyse the Mikimoto Collection and found myself playing dress up. Pearls are not usually a gift known to purchase for yourself, however I just HAD to try on some of these amazing pieces.

I now have a love affair with them! I can tell you I felt just like Coco Chanel with her ‘ropes and ropes’ of pearls. Or Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex & the City Movie.

So now that you've seen me play dress up, it's your turn now to have some girl time and try on some breathtaking pearls for yourself! #StyleByJanika
