Cartier, a name synonymous with quality and style, was founded 1847 in Paris, France by Louis-Francois Cartier. Cartier's final move to 13 Rue de La Paix in Paris - one of Paris' most expensive streets - proved to be the right one as many other luxury jewelers followed suit quickly transforming the area into the center of international jewelry. Cartier only went on to expand and enhance their legacy by opening a London store in 1902 and a New York store in 1909.
