Long's Proposal Story

We love hearing proposal stories! So when we saw Jasmine's Long's Jewelers engagement ring posted on Instagram, we couldn't help but reach out and ask for her story.

Here is Jasmine's amazing proposal story in her own words:

"We met at Northeastern University our freshman year and remained close friends until we started dating our junior year. Greg and I had picked out my ring together in late November. Joyce was great and took the time to explain everything about diamond selection and was patient with my wanting to try on many different settings. The great experience we had picking out my engagement ring convinced us to return and purchase or wedding bands during the Wedding Band weekend in March. We are both so impressed with the customer service at Long's.

Greg proposed this past Monday at Watch Hill Beach in RI. His family owns a vacation home in the area. We had spent the previous day with family so he planned an afternoon alone of checking out the small shops like Candy Box (I am a chocolate lover) and taking a walk down the beach. We walked for about 30 minutes before we came to a rocky area at the end of the beach. Two elderly woman walking by pointed out a boulder with "You'll never see it coming" etched into the side. He had me sit down on a flat rock to wait for some more people to walk by. My heart started racing because I knew what was coming next and I had started to tear up even before he started telling me how much he loved me and got down on one knee. We took some photos by the ocean and headed to Cooked Goose for lunch and a celebratory drink before telling our family members."

From all of us at Long's Jewelers, we'd like to say congratulations to Jasmine and her fiancé Gregory!
