We get it, proposing is hard and you want to get it right! You have to plan where you're going to go, when you want to do it, and most importantly how you're going to propose.

We're here to help you and your partner enter the next stage in your life. So, to get you a little bit closer to proposing, we've made a list of 7 of our favorite scenic Massachusetts locations. These spots make for great romantic day trips and are a perfect spot to pop the big question! So give this list of proposal ideas a read and see what Massachusetts has to offer:

1) Bearskin Neck - Rockport, MA

Bear Skin Neck

If your girlfriend enjoys coastal New England towns, Bearskin Neck is the perfect place to propose. Take her exploring through the many quaint shops and venture out onto the jetty. She is sure to enjoy the classic wood shingled buildings and some of the best seafood you can buy!

The town sees heavy seasonal tourist traffic, so you can plan a very public or private proposal depending on the time of year.

2) The Knob - Falmouth, MA

The Knob

If you want to propose somewhere a little less touristy, you can't go wrong with "The Knob" in Falmouth. Take a short hike to this small peninsula and enjoy the view. The Knob separates Quissett Harbor from Buzzards Bay and offers 360 degrees of beautiful scenery. Be warned, this is a popular spot for foot traffic (especially around sunset), so plan on a spectator or two.

3) Tower Hill Botanical Garden - Boylston, MA

Tower Hill Botanical Garden

Located in the small town of Boylston, Tower Hill Botanical Garden is one of Central Massachusetts hidden gems. As the first and only comprehensive botanical garden in New England, Tower Hill features eight distinctly different gardens on their property. If you're looking for some privacy, the "Secret Garden" offers visitors a secluded area overlooking the orchard.

The gardens are open year round, so pick your favorite season and head over! Be aware that you will need to pay an admission fee.

4) Bash Bish Falls - Mount. Washington, MA

Bash Bish Falls

Located in Mount. Washington, Bash Bish Falls requires a small road trip to Western Massachusetts. Don't let this deter you though, because at a staggering 60 feet, Bash Bish is the highest single drop waterfall in the state. Take a short hike to the base of the falls and take in its beauty, or trek up to the top to get a view of Massachusetts and New York. Swimming in the falls is banned, but that doesn't stop you from getting up close to the water.

5) Elm Park - Worcester, MA

Elm Park

Since 1854, the people of Worcester have adored Elm Park for its walking trails and beautiful scenery. It is considered to be the oldest public park in the country although this is still up for debate.

Currently, Elm Park is as active as it has ever been. With annual food truck festivals, art in the park installments, and year round facilities, the park is a social destination. Take your girlfriend on a walk around the park and be sure to admire the two historical bridges across the pond.

6) Wachusett Reservoir (Old Church) - West Boylston, MA

If you love fall in New England and think its the perfect time to propose, then the Old Church in West Boylston is a great place to go. The church sits beside the Wachusett Reservoir, which now fills the valley where the town center originally sat.

The church is now on the National Register of Historic Places and is no longer an active house of worship. Go for a hike around the reservoir's many trails and stop by the Old Church to look inside.

7) Mount Greylock - Adams, MA

Mount Greylock

Make your girlfriend feel on top of the world by proposing at the tallest point in Massachusetts! At 3,491 feet, you can see up to 90 miles from Mount Greylock's summit. If this view isn't good enough, you can take a climb up the Veterans War Memorial Tower and gaze from the lookout.

The trip to western Massachusetts can be lengthy, so you may want to consider staying at the Bascom Lodge. This small lodge is a short two minute walk from the mountain's summit. It is run by the park, so your money will go towards supporting its natural beauty.
