About the Designer
Van Cleef & Arpels is a top luxury brand founded in 1906 in Paris, France. The company has a long history of creating innovative and iconic designs, such as the ‘Mystery Setting’ technique for setting colored stones, and the ‘Zip’ necklace, which features a working zipper-like mechanism. Another design that remains popular today is the ‘Alhambra’ collection, which was launched in 1968 and inspired by the shape of the Moorish tiles on the Alhambra Castle. The collection has since come to symbolize good luck.
Van Cleef & Arpels has consistently been worn and loved by exclusive and celebrity clientele, collected by chic style icons such as Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy, and the Duchess of Windsor.
