Congratulations to Rosie and Tony on your recent engagement! We loved reading this incredible proposal story that was a combination of sweet, sentimental and romantic. And of course, we loved the fun photo you shared with us (above). Thank you both for sharing, and we're honored to have helped you find the perfect ring to compliment this special day. Here is the story as told by Tony:

How did you meet?
"At a teacher's conference (we are both teachers!)"

Describe the proposal in detail:
"I planned a 13 hour date on a Sunday. It had a metaphor of moving forward and leaving the past behind. I got lucky though because on Friday, she mentioned us getting engaged and without missing a beat I said, "Oh that's a ways off." Though this sounds mean, it is exactly what I needed to pull off the surprise. Sunday rolled around and we talked about how I felt bad that I said it was a ways off and that we should talk about it next week but that I planned a nice date and I wanted us to be in the moment.

It was time to start our date, so I pulled out a mixed CD that I made for the trip and we were off. Our first stop was to go a mountain where we have shared many hikes. We did a nice little hike, hand and hand and then it was off to our next stop. Next, we drove three hours away to where we shared our first kiss. As we drove, we sang to the songs on our CD and talked about our love and the amazing times that we had together. When we got to our location, we sat in the car and I told her about how our time together was important to me, how she means everything to me, and how she truly is the love of my life. We got out of the car, and I had us recreate our first kiss...When we left, we went antiquing (a favorite hobby of ours) and bought a few records to commemorate this amazing date. We left there and drove back towards home. I made a pit stop at her old apartment and I told her the story about how nervous I was the first time I went to her apartment.

The date wasn't over yet. I had planned to take her to dinner where we had our first date but we were running out of time because I wanted to propose at sunset in front of the Boston skyline. Since we no longer had time for that, I made a pitstop at the Charles River and we watched the sun set behind the water. It was beautiful. As we sat on the park bench, I got on one knee and asked her to marry me. She was so surprised, it was a perfect moment. When we left, we went to the location of our first date and we shared our first meal as an engaged couple."
