A Long's Proposal Story: Lisa & Peter

These high school sweethearts finally took the plunge! Read on to see how Peter surprised Lisa with her beautiful, new ring at the New England Aquarium. On behalf of the entire Long's team, congratulations and best of luck.

How did the two of you meet?

"We have know each other since elementary school, and started dating freshman year of high school."

How did you propose?

"Lisa works at the New England Aquarium. She always spoke well of her co-workers and how they were the best at throwing parties for everyone in the office for all occasions. So I reached out to her boss and asked for some help. We spent the next 3 days planning the surprise. One day while Lisa was at work, I took the trip into Boston, flowers and ring in hand. I meet up with the public event coordinator, and we set up at the top of the giant ocean tank. Lisa's boss set up a fake meeting that required a trip to the top of the tank. I waited for her for almost an hour since I had arrived a little early. I have known and loved Lisa for so long that I wasn't even nervous, but the hour dragged on for weeks. When she finally reached the top of the tank, I came up behind her and popped the question. She almost got mad that I was interrupting her boss! It took her some time to realize what was happening, but then of course she said yes!"

Tell us about the engagement ring!

"It is a beautiful vintage inspired rose gold ring with a sparkling halo and diamond studded shank. In the center is a beautiful 1 carat diamond that sits raised above the halo, viewable from all angles."
