A classic New England proposal! Read on to see how Matthew surprised Erin with her beautiful, new ring during Daffodil Weekend on Nantucket. On behalf of the entire Long's team, congratulations and best of luck.

How did the two of you meet?

"We met in Matthew's hometown of Concord, NH. I was out at a local bar with my friends after a Christmas party. He was out with his friends. They had all gone to Concord High School together. I credit my relationship to two of my best friends, Courtney and Amanda. I'm so glad they introduced us that night. He was too nervous to ask for my number (or so he says) so he messaged me on Facebook the next day after getting a pep talk from his friend Steve."

How did he propose?

"Last year for Christmas, Matthew and I decided to purchase a trip instead of gifts for each other. We decided to take a trip to our favorite getaway spot, Nantucket Island. We went for Daffodil Weekend, which is the spring opener for the island. Everything and every person is dressed in yellow. There are daffodils planted on every corner. It's a really beautiful time there. We checked into our hotel on Friday and had dinner in town. The next morning I woke up early and went to yoga. I was super relaxed and happy in my favorite place on Earth. We went to the Daffodil Parade to take photos of all of the antique cars that were dressed up in flowers. After the parade was over, Matthew suggested that we rent a Mini cooper convertible for the day. We picked that up and headed to our next stop, a champagne tasting at Epernay Wine & Spirits. While we were in there, we met the owner and founder of Champy champagne, Jenny Johnson. We purchased one of her bottles and strolled back to the Mini. I had Matthew take my photo with our autographed bottle. He passed my phone back to me and I started instagramming. I was mid-way through a hashtag when all of the sudden he said from the sidewalk 'Hey hunny, why don’t you take a picture with this instead. Will you marry me?' I was completely caught off guard in my trance of instagramming. I got out of the car, ran around to him gave him a huge kiss. I said YES! We enjoyed the rest of our weekend on Nantucket visiting our favorite places - Siasconset Beach, Cisco Brewers, Wauwinet and Brant Point Grill at the White Elephant. What a weekend, what a guy! We couldn't be happier."
