Founded in 1986 by Orna & Isaac Levy, Yvel continues a century old family tradition of creating exquisite top of the range jewelry designs featuring pearls and gold in different colors. Recognizing that more and more customers were looking for unique jewelry, Yvel soon began to introduce limited edition collections. “People were demanding jewelry that was truly different and of the utmost quality. Long’s Jewelers Team at the 2010 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk!

On September 12, 2010, Long’s Jewelers will be participating in the annual Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, a one day event dedicated to conquering all forms of cancer. Since the first Walk in 1989, participants have raised more than $66 million to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber. In 2009, the event drew more than 7,700 walkers hailing from 34 states and 5 countries.

Long’s has our own team who walks the route together and raises additional funds for cancer research. Team Longs is helping the Jimmy Fund towards their fundraising goals. Each year, Long’s Jewelers also sponsors a water station along the route. We will be at the water station cheering on the walkers and providing them with water and snacks at the Natick Town Green on Route 135 this year.

The Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk gives participants the opportunity to follow the course of the 26.2-mile Boston Marathon in honor or memory of friends, family, co-workers, and patients facing all forms of cancer. It is the only event other than the Boston Marathon itself that is sanctioned by the Boston Athletic Association to use the historic route. Walkers choose from one of five route options designed for everyone from the marathon enthusiast to the youngest walker.

Long’s Jewelers is excited to announce that we will be participating in the North Shore Concours d’Elegance at Endicott College in Beverly, MA on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 11am – 4pm.

The Concours d’Elegance is a car show featuring rare and antique cars – some are even one of a kind. There will be about 80 cars on site, and about 1000 people are expected to attend.

Long’s will have representatives in the main tent – the focal point of the property – with a special selection of product on display.
