The very first opening day at Fenway Park was 100 years ago this month – the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park will be marked on Friday April 20, in fact. If you are a Bostonian, you’ve been hearing the buzz about Fenway’s 100th Anniversary for months. On Friday, the Red Sox will play the New York Yankees, just like they did on April 20, 1912 (although they were then named the Highlanders). We wish the Red Sox the best of luck in their game, and in honor of America’s Most Beloved Ballpark’s 100th birthday, we’d like to share some of our favorite pieces from our Red Sox and Fenway Park collection:
Fenway Park Custom Latitude/Longitude Charm
The most unique Fenway Park item we carry at Long’s is this custom charm by Heather Moore with the latitude/longitude of the beloved Fenway Park. Heather Moore charms are fully customizable and available in sterling silver and 14K yellow, white, rose and green gold - and all materials are 100% recycled.
Fenway Park Cufflinks
We have a special affinity for unique cufflinks. We love when men who are otherwise tied to a basic corporate uniform of dress shirt/business suit customize their attire with special cufflinks. These cufflinks featuring Fenway Park and the Boston Red Sox logo are perfect for anytime of the year – not just baseball season!
Fenway Park Paperweight
If you’re stuck at your desk rather than at the game, you can still keep a part of Fenway Park with you while you’re working. Those assignments that just can’t wait till after the game can be kept from flying all over your desk with this Fenway Park Paperweight.
We wish a happy centennial anniversary to Fenway Park, with many more to come!
